Grease Hero drain guards are a quick, easy and environmentally friendly way to dispose of cooking fats, oils and grease. The drain guards are made of recycled material and because of this, there are a couple different ways to dispose of Grease Hero.
Option 1: With Your Regular Trash
The quickest option is to fill your Grease Hero drain guard with the used oil and grease, wait a minute for it to fully absorb into the drain guard and then toss the whole thing into your trash can. (You can see Grease Hero drain guards in action on our YouTube channel.)
By disposing of your cooking oil and grease, instead of rinsing it down the kitchen sink drain, you are saving your home’s plumbing from expensive grease clogs, the city sewer system from fatbergs and ultimately your neighborhood and local environment from sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs).
Option 2: At Your City’s Recycling Facility
Grease Hero drain guards can be upcycled at your city’s recycling facility. Cities are eager to help you dispose of used cooking oil because it keeps sewers flowing and helps minimize issues at water treatment facilities.
Also, used cooking oil is now being used to create biodiesel at many recycling facilities. Biodiesel is a renewable form of energy, making it environmentally friendly. This fuel is used as an alternative to fossil fuel for diesel engines used to power vehicles and machines.
Since Grease Hero drain guards are made from recycled materials, we have had past customers tell us that they also make excellent fire starters for BBQs and campfires. Many people use Grease Hero drain guards in their RV kitchens or while camping, so we can certainly see how this disposal method would work for them. Chef Anthony Serrano also mentioned this disposal method in his product review. (You can view his entire review on YouTube.)
As you can see there are a couple different ways to quickly dispose of your Grease Hero drain guards while protecting your home and the environment. Grease Hero drain guards are a simple step you can take in your everyday life to protect our planet from pollution. Small changes by many really do make a big impact.
